2014 AUSTRALIA POST STAWELL GIFT IS GOING AHEAD AS PLANNED

It has come to our attention there has been reports that the 2014 Australia Post Stawell Gift has been cancelled or relocated. Please note that this is not the case and the 133rd Australia Post Stawell Gift will proceed as planned this Easter weekend at Central Park in Stawell. 

We understand the confusion has come from the unfortunate relocation of the horse racing meet, the Stawell Gold Cup, to Victorian town Donald following recent vandalism of the track at the Stawell Racing Club.

Stawell Athletic Club president Jeremy Irvine would like to reassure competitors, spectators and everyone involved with the 2014 Australia Post Stawell Gift that it will proceed as planned.

The 133rd Australia Post Stawell Gift will begin with Calcutta on Friday, 18th April, and follow with three days of competitive racing, including the Australia Post Stawell Gift final on Monday, 21st April. Off the field there will be activities for the whole family including the 2014 Driscoll, McIllree & Dickinson Fashions on the Field competition and a fun-filled Easter Sunday Family Day for the kids.
