Twenty3 sprints to the finish with the Australia Post Stawell Gift

The Stawell Athletic Club is excited to announce the appointment of Twenty3 Sport + Entertainment as the event, marketing and commercial agency partner of the annual Australia Post Stawell Gift.

The partnership will see Twenty3 Sport + Entertainment manage all media, marketing, broadcast and sponsorship activities for the nation’s most famous and richest footrace. The contract will run through to at least 2016, and will also include athlete management, event management and public relations of the Australia Post Stawell Gift.

In a competitive pitch, Twenty3 was selected for its vision to grow the event commercially and its track record and capability in delivering world-class event marketing and management services.

Stawell Athletic Club President Scotney Hayter said the club was thrilled to have Twenty3 on board to grow the event.

“The Australia Post Stawell Gift is an iconic Australian event which has been running for 132 years, and it was important for us to choose an agency that would add value to the event and ensure it continues to run for years to come,” Mr Hayter said.

“Twenty3 presented a vision which not only builds on the current success of the event but takes it forward into the future.

“We were very impressed with Twenty3’s proven success in the sport and broader entertainment sector, extensive expertise in navigating the sponsorship landscape and creative approach to promoting the Australia Post Stawell Gift.”

Twenty3 chief executive John Tripodi said it was an honour to be involved in such a prestigious event like the Australia Post Stawell Gift.

“The Australia Post Stawell Gift is one of the major highlights on the Australian athletics calendar and we are excited to be involved in shaping the future of the event, while honouring its heritage,” Mr Tripodi said.

The 133rd edition of the Australia Post Stawell Gift will be staged over the 2014 Easter long weekend from April 18 to 21.
