The Woolworths Stawell Gift is proud to announce Australia’s favourite holiday park network, BIG4 Holiday Parks, as a major partner of the 2016 Woolworths Stawell Gift carnival.
As part of this, BIG4 Holiday Parks will gain exclusive naming rights to the BIG4 Herb Hedemann Invitation Handicap 1600m race, to be known unofficially as the BIG4 laps, which will be televised live nationally on the Seven Network.
Comprising 180 holiday parks across Australia, BIG4 Holiday Parks provides a range of high-quality accommodation options. BIG4 Holiday Parks are conveniently located in surrounding areas of the Woolworths Stawell Gift carnival, including the Grampians and Goldfields regions, offering families cabin accommodation and caravan and camping sites.
The Stawell Gift’s relationship with BIG4 Holiday Parks will help boost local tourism and drive awareness of regional Victoria, while also enhancing the weekend-long carnival experience for all visitors.
Event Director, Ricky Marcy from Twenty3 Sport + Entertainment commented: “We are excited to announce this new partnership with BIG4 Holiday Parks who have an outstanding reputation as Australia’s most popular holiday accommodation provider.”
“The Woolworths Stawell Gift attracts numerous visitors from all over Australia to Central Park each Easter, and this new partnership will only enhance interest in the event as well as increase the appeal of Stawell and the surrounding areas for holiday makers nationally,” Mr Marcy said.
BIG4 CEO Steven Wright said: “We are proud to be participating in such an iconic regional tourism event.”
“BIG4 encourages its guests to explore Australia’s many fantastic locations and to have fun while doing so. The Woolworths Stawell Gift typifies this with its great regional setting, backed by an enjoyable and exciting atmosphere.”
The 2016 Woolworths Stawell Gift continues to be supported by major partners Woolworths, Australia Post, Cadbury, Newmarket Gold, ASICS, CUB, Telstra and the Victorian Government.
