Supercharged Family Day Activities Set for the 2023 Powercor Stawell Gift

This Easter Sunday local families and visitors alike will enjoy an all-new Family Day at the Powercor Stawell Gift Carnival. The full day of activities provides plenty of fun for the young and young at heart with free entry for children under 12 years of age.

For those wanting to make an active start to the day, Family Day kicks off with the MattyB kids clinic, a fun mini athletics clinic hosted by Olympian Matt Beckenham and stars of the Powercor Stawell Gift. The focus is on fun for all ages and abilities, with the unique opportunity to run in races right in the middle of Central Park.

If a birds-eye view of Central Park is on your list, Powercor’s activation area provides guests with the opportunity to take a ride in a Powercor EPV, where you can ride high above the ground to “see the world like a liney”. For those still at ground level, kids can meet mascots Max and Pippa and receive merchandise and giveaway packs.

It wouldn’t be Easter without an Easter Egg Hunt and the Powercor Stawell Gift Easter Egg Hunt is better than ever. Children aged 3-12  can join the  search for 7,000 Easter eggs in the Central Park Rose Garden. There’s  separate entry times for 3-4 year olds, 5-7 year olds and ages 8+ for fun and fairness! 

2000 Strickland Family Women’s Gift Champion and Powercor Stawell Gift Ambassador Tamsyn Lewis-Manou is encouraging local families to enjoy Family Day at this year’s Carnival.

“There really is something for everyone at this year’s Family Day, and you don’t have to be an athletics fan to have an awesome day at the Gift While I know my kids are excited for the Easter Egg Hunt and Powercor activation, there’s also an 18ft giant inflatable slide and  face painting for the little ones!”

Olympians, national champions and Powercor Stawell Gift Champions will take part in an autograph and meet and greet session with young fans on Family Day and the afternoon activities will be headlined by the Kelly Sports Clinic and creative zone, with 2.5 hours of structured sports play including cricket, soccer, footy, Tug of War, Crazy Games and more. Enjoy the fun zone with Snakes & Ladders, Totem Tennis, Skipping Ropes, Spinning Plates, Frisbees, Bocce & Coits, and add some creative touches with colouring-in, bead making, animal masks and loom bands all included in the fun, fully-hosted  session.

“The Stawell Gift contributes significantly to the region economically and with the expansion of family day activities it continues to contribute to the social offering for local families. With free entry for all children aged 12 and under it is a must-attend event.”

All activities are free of charge to attendees. Tickets for the 2023 Powercor Stawell Gift, including Family Day are available now via Ticketek. Tickets are free for children on Easter Sunday with adult tickets from just $17.
