Australia’s most iconic and richest athletics event continues to evolve with visitors to the famous three-day carnival being treated to top level athletics on the track and plenty of all-new off-track activity for fashionistas and families alike. The 142nd running of the Powercor Stawell Gift will take place from 30 March – 1 April  in Stawell, Victoria. 

“We’re looking forward to another exciting edition of the Powercor Stawell Gift and we’re thrilled to have tickets on sale for the 2024 carnival,” said Cr. Murray Emerson, Chair of Stawell Gift Event Management.

“2024 will see the Powercor Stawell Gift take another leap forward in spectator experience. In 2023 we expanded the corporate hospitality area and super-charged the Easter Sunday Family Day offering, which saw record crowds attend on Easter Sunday. In 2024 Easter Saturday will be a focus of our continued innovation with new initiatives including dress codes and colour themes to add to the fun and flavour of the social aspects of the event.”

On the track, a stellar line up of sprint stars and middle distance master’s are again expected to vie for Stawell glory. As one of Australia’s first ever events to offer equal prize money for men and women, the Powercor Stawell Gift and Strickland Family Women’s Gift will again compete for Australia’s richest – and equal – prize pool, with the winners each walking away with $40,000 in prize money.

Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said he’s looking forward to next year’s edition of Australia’s oldest and most prestigious footrace at Central Park.

The all-inclusive corporate hospitality tickets for Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday can be purchased via Ticketek. This premium experience ticket includes access to the corporate hospitality suite, food and beverages and premium view of the Powercor Stawell Gift track and finish gates. All attendees are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets on-line in advance of the event.

The 2024 Powercor Stawell Gift will take place from March 31 to April 1, 2024 with the finals of the Powercor Stawell Gift and Strickland Family Women’s Gift taking place on Easter Monday. The event will be broadcast live and free on Seven from 11:30am AEST on Monday, April 1.
