THE 2022 POWERCOR STAWELL GIFT IS A COVID SAFE EVENT

 

Organisers of the 2022 Powercor Stawell Gift are committed to providing a Covid-safe environment for participants, spectators, volunteers and event workforce. 

As part of our COVIDSafe Plan the following initiatives will be implemented.

  • All tickets must be purchased electronically
  • The requirement to “check-in” to the venue via the Victorian Government QR code system
  • Enhanced sanitisation and cleaning at the venue
  • The requirement for all participants to maintain appropriate social distancing.
  • Off-track activities will see changes in schedule
  • All attendees (athletes, spectators, officials and staff) must be fully vaccinated to attend.
  • Significant on-event wayfinding and instructional signage.
  • Limit of pre-allocated seating and venue access outside of operating hours.
  • Implementation of physical distancing markers (and communications) at key congestion points.
  • Provision of PPE for staff and volunteers.
  • Dedicated Covid-19 FAQ documents for athletes, trainers, and general public.

SERVICE VICTORIA APP FOR CHECK-IN

 

All attendees at the 2022 Powercor Stawell Gift will be required to “check-in’ at the event using the Victorian Government QR code system using the Service Victoria app. This system will help us track attendance at the event, so have your phone handy when you arrive at the Gates.  Please be sure to download the Service Victoria app prior to your arrival at Central Park. The athletic meet for the 2022 Powercor Stawell Gift Carnival will operate under Victorian Athletic League (VAL) guidelines and COVIDSafe protocols. VAL’s COVIDSafe guidelines can be viewed here.
