BRUCE WALKER

Bruce was a fine middle distance runner who won both the Bill McManus Middlemarkers 400m and the Wimmera Handicap over 550m in 1974, and won the Wimmera Handicap again in 1977. He also registered two seconds and a third.

The Bruce Walker Memorial Trophy, donated by his family and friends is awarded each year to the most successful runner over 400, 550 and 800 metres.
