TREVA McGREGOR

Treva was surprisingly beaten into second place by Barry Foley in the final of the 1970 Gift but made amends in the following year when he won both the Gift and the Arthur Postle 70m.

Further success came when he won the past Gift Winners Invitation Handicap in 1973. He continued to feature prominently in the CUB World Sprint Championships when he registered five wins and four seconds over various sprint distances over the next three years.

McGregor was also a successful footballer, playing forty-seven games with Fitzroy, mainly on the wing.
