Harry Henderson

Harry became involved with the SAC in 1897, when he was nominated to the committee.

He was subsequently elected President in 1901, 1911 and 1921, and in 1922 he was appointed Secretary, a position he held with remarkable aplomb through the depression years, and also through World War II years.

Harry was regarded as one of the Club’s most devoted and loyal members, from 1897 until December 5, 1946, when he was found dead at his desk, working for the Club that he loved, right up until the last seconds of his life.
